End of Year Fic Roundup
Yeah, so no questionnaire this year - the list is far too short. Fringe gave me an ending that felt complete, and while I enjoyed The Americans, I felt in no way fannish about it. The rest of the year was spent reading books and trawling the old archives of closed-canon fandoms. RL didn't leave much in the tank this year, and the brain, she needed a rest.

So, without further ado, 2013's Fic Review - A Collection of Snippets, smut, and obscurity...

Worship - Fringe (R/Explicit), Peter's never considered himself a religious man. (Olivia/Peter)
Living Like There's Nothing Left to Lose - Fringe (Mature), Post episode 5.08, Olivia and Peter take a moment to breathe
All In - BSG (PG), Kara says, "Marry me, Lee" and the crowd around the table goes quiet. A rescued snippet that lost its ending somewhere...
Two Years Later (and Olivia's back in Mid-World) - Fringe (G), Timestamp prompt fill.
Down Passages We Did Not Take - Longmire (novel canon), Post A Serpent's Tooth, Walt's always been an expert when it comes to shouldering the blame.

I think I only have three this year? So you beat me!

reading books and trawling the old archives of closed-canon fantoms

Sometimes it is fun and needful to just be a consumer for a while, yeah? I'm sure we've got more in there somewhere, though. Just needs the right inspiration.

It's only really three that are finished (oh! just remembered that 5-things I was working on for you that is incidentally, not finished...)

I'm certain there is more there. There's just not enough of me at the moment to make any sense of it. What I do want to do one of these days though, is put together a list of recs for fics that I didn't think I'd enjoy because of pairing/subject/whatever, but ended up being surprised by. Of course, one should remember to actually bookmark stuff they like when reading, insteading of relying on trying to find a story by the color of the page it was on...

I mean, I have a Fringe fic that needs like 2.5 scenes written to be done, but I am afraid I'll break it. So yeah, I know what you mean.

Ooh!! I had forgotten that too!

Yes! Or the general shape of the title …. lol. Anyway, that would be a very interesting rec list!

I somehow missed that you had written Longmire fic this year? That's awesome! And I really must go back and read all your BSG and Fringe fic now that I've finished one series and almost finished the other. *adds to the "To Do" list*

I didn't post to my journal, only to AO3, because...new small fandom jitters, I guess. Have you read any of the books?
I'm so excited that you stuck with Fringe, cows and all! ;)
